McKenzie Watershed Emergency Response System

Category: Customized GIS design and implementation, Env. Information Management Systems, GIS Consulting, Natural Resource Protection / Management

EWEB initiated a drinking water source protection program to safe guard the McKenzie River as a critical resource. Enviro Spatial designed, and developed a GIS based watershed emergency response plan (MWERS). The goal of MWERS is to provide first responders with the information, support, equipment, and training to efficiently and effectively respond to and stabilize a major chemical spill or release and avoid the initial confusion associated with spill response. MWERS is being used by twenty eight different entities in the watershed.
